As an Armed Public Safety Officer, you will conduct routine surveillance of healthcare properties, including foot and vehicle patrols, ensuring the protection of all individuals on the premises.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform regular patrols of grounds and buildings to maintain security and safety.
• Respond promptly to calls for service and potential disturbances, employing professional de-escalation techniques.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of daily activities, incidents, and shift logs.
• Communicate effectively with management and staff regarding safety concerns, emergencies, and security updates.
• Assist with parking management and enforce policies as directed.
• Respect confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations in all duties.

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from a Law Enforcement Academy is mandatory.

Experience:

• Minimum of one year of patrol officer experience or four years in law enforcement detention.

Certifications and Licenses:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
• Must be a commissioned law enforcement officer in good standing or have held a valid commission within the past three years, with the ability to obtain commission within 90 days of employment.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Mental and Physical Requirements:

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and interpret safety policies.
• Capable of standing for extended periods and walking or running long distances.
• Proficient in operating patrol vehicles safely.
