Join a dynamic healthcare team in the Midwest region as an Advanced SIM Coordinator, where you will lead and innovate simulation-based clinical education. This role involves overseeing educators and participants within the simulation grant section, designing and refining immersive learning experiences, and analyzing data to support educational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with nursing departments, faculty, and interdisciplinary teams to develop simulation scenarios that enhance critical thinking and clinical decision-making.
• Mentor content experts in scenario development and debriefing, modeling best practices aligned with INACSL standards.
• Set up and manage simulation experiences, ensuring equipment is maintained and organized according to best practices.
• Supervise staff and students to ensure simulation activities meet learning outcomes.
• Collect and analyze evaluation data, contributing to reports on grant outcomes and educational effectiveness.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in nursing is required; Master’s degree preferred.

Experience

Minimum of three years clinical experience and at least one year teaching nursing skills and critical thinking with proven success. Experience in developing education programs based on needs assessments, generating reports, tracking outcomes, and intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office suite is essential.

Certifications

Current RN license in a Compact State or equivalent required. ACLS Instructor certification preferred. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Physical and Work Environment

This role requires considerable mental focus and physical activity including lifting up to 35 lbs, frequent walking, standing, and various movements such as pushing, pulling, and reaching.
