Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Midwest region as a Registered Dietitian responsible for delivering comprehensive nutritional care and education to hospital patients. This role involves evaluating, developing, and implementing individualized nutrition plans, including order writing and parenteral/enteral nutrition support. You will provide inpatient nutrition counseling, staff education, and intern precepting, while assisting with policy development and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assess, develop, and implement patient nutrition care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to communicate assessments and interventions.
• Provide nutritional education to inpatients to support their health and recovery.
• Identify and address issues related to patient feeding, supplements, and tube feeds in coordination with food services and nursing staff.
• Participate in departmental performance improvement initiatives.
• Support administration of nutritional care, including compliance with regulatory agencies and development of clinical nutrition policies.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition is required.

Experience

Preferred: At least one year of clinical dietetics experience.

Certification and License

Must be registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration and hold a valid Licensed RD credential for the state.

Mental and Physical Requirements

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, use computers, stand and walk for extended periods, teach and communicate nutrition effectively, and perform measurements and calculations.
