Job Summary

As a Medical Instrument Courier, you will be responsible for collecting and delivering sealed medical instrument containers between clinics and sterile processing departments. You will also transport allergy serums and safety deposit bags, ensuring all items are handled according to safety and temperature requirements. Additionally, you may provide non-emergency patient transportation within the regional healthcare network.

Education

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Basic literacy skills to read, write, and follow directions are essential.

Experience

At least one year of experience in a service-related field is preferred, with a background in healthcare or transportation being advantageous. Strong customer service skills are a must.

Requirements

• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Valid driver’s license with annual driver’s exam.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Mental ability to follow written and verbal instructions and learn transportation policies.
• Annual physical and eye examinations.

Working Conditions

This role may require long periods of standing, walking, or sitting in a vehicle. You will interact with outpatients and occasionally face challenging conditions during transportation duties.
