• Prioritize workload to meet testing requests promptly and maintain department productivity.
• Communicate critical results to healthcare providers promptly and document accordingly.
• Assist in training new staff and contribute to updating procedural manuals and policies.
• Perform comprehensive assessments throughout pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases, addressing specimen issues as needed.

Education: Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or a related scientific field is required.

Experience: No prior experience required for registered Medical Lab Scientists; non-registered candidates should have at least one year of clinical laboratory experience.

Certification: Must hold MT, MLS, M, C, H, or BB certification and meet CMS requirements for technical supervision.

Mental and Physical Requirements: This role demands close mental and visual attention for extended periods, often under time-sensitive and stressful conditions. Physical activity includes frequent movement throughout the department and lifting up to 20 lbs.
