Join a dynamic healthcare team in the Midwest region as an Advanced SIM Coordinator, where you will lead and innovate simulation-based education within a clinical setting. This role involves overseeing educators and participants in simulation grant projects, designing and refining immersive learning experiences, and analyzing data to support educational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with nursing departments, faculty, and interdisciplinary teams to develop simulation scenarios that enhance critical thinking and clinical decision-making.
• Mentor content experts in scenario development and debriefing, modeling best instructional practices aligned with INACSL standards.
• Manage simulation setup and equipment maintenance to ensure optimal learning environments.
• Supervise staff and students to guarantee simulation activities meet targeted outcomes.
• Collect and analyze evaluation data, contributing to reports that inform grant outcomes and educational improvements.

Education

Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required, with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred. A Master’s degree in nursing or education is highly desirable.

Experience

Minimum of three years clinical nursing experience and at least one year teaching nursing skills and critical thinking with proven success. Experience in developing education programs, conducting needs assessments, and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite is essential.

Certifications and Licenses

Current RN license valid in a Compact State is required. ACLS Instructor certification and American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are preferred.

Physical and Work Environment

This role requires considerable mental focus and physical activity including lifting up to 35 lbs, walking, standing, and various movements such as stooping and reaching. The work environment includes teaching settings with typical office noise and potential exposure to infectious diseases.
