General Summary

The RN delivers clinical care with competence and compassion, ensuring patient safety and quality outcomes in a supportive environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Adhere to established safety protocols including infection prevention, safe patient handling, and critical lab notifications.
• Maintain and care for central lines, preventing surgical site infections according to policy.
• Administer medications, perform nursing interventions, and provide patient and family education.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments to monitor status and support clinical decision-making.
• Document all care activities and quality measures accurately.
• Communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare team members to enhance patient outcomes.
• Delegate tasks appropriately while fostering teamwork and accountability.
• Engage patients and families with timely communication to improve their healthcare experience.

Education

Graduation from an accredited nursing school is required.

Experience

At least one year of nursing experience is preferred.

Certification and Licensure

• Current RN license valid in the state or through Compact Licensure.
• Graduate nurses must obtain licensure within 90 days of graduation.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Mental and Physical Requirements

This role requires considerable mental focus and physical activity including lifting up to 35 lbs, standing, walking, and various movements such as pushing, pulling, and reaching.

Working Conditions
