Join a dedicated orthopedic surgery team as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with RN First Assist certification. This role offers a unique blend of clinical and surgical responsibilities in a supportive, mentorship-driven environment located in the Midwest region of the United States.

What You'll Do

• Clinical Care (2.5 days/week): Provide comprehensive pre- and post-operative care in an orthopedic clinic setting. Conduct patient evaluations, develop treatment plans, and perform procedures such as casting, splinting, suturing, and joint aspirations/injections. Collaborate closely with the surgical team to manage new and follow-up patients.
• Operating Room Experience (2 days/week): Serve as first assist during orthopedic surgeries alongside experienced surgeons. Complete operative reports, progress notes, and post-operative orders while gaining valuable hands-on surgical experience in a teaching-focused atmosphere.
• Collaborative Practice: Work in partnership with physicians, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver team-based care. Provide patient and family counseling on treatment plans, medications, and health promotion. Participate in staff education and training initiatives, fostering lasting patient relationships throughout their care journey.

Education & Licensure

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program, including RN First Assist certification.
• Current or eligible for state licensure and DEA/BNDD prescriptive authority.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
