As a Mammography Technologist, you will operate specialized mammographic equipment to perform exams, ensuring accurate records for radiologist interpretation.

Education

Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist training program is required.

Experience

At least one year of experience as a mammography technologist is preferred.

Certification and Licensure

Candidates must be either a currently registered radiologic technologist (ARRT(R)) undergoing mammography training per MQSA guidelines with intent to pass the mammography registry when eligible, or a registered mammography technologist (ARRT(M)).

Mental and Physical Requirements

This role requires sustained close mental and visual attention, often under stressful conditions due to patient needs. Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, lifting up to 35 lbs, and mobility throughout the department.

Working Conditions

Potential exposure to infectious agents, chemical disinfectants, anesthetics, and controlled radiation. May require on-call availability as scheduled.
