This full-time position involves routine surveillance of healthcare properties, including foot and vehicle patrols, responding promptly to calls for service, and managing situations with professionalism and care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of grounds and buildings to ensure safety and security.
• Respond to incidents with a calm, professional approach, aiming to de-escalate potential disturbances.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of daily activities, incident reports, and shift logs.
• Communicate effectively with management and staff regarding safety concerns and emergency situations.
• Assist with parking enforcement and other duties as assigned to support facility operations.

Education

High School Diploma or GED is required. Graduation from a recognized Law Enforcement Academy is mandatory.

Experience

Applicants should have at least one year of road experience as a Patrol Officer or four years of active experience in law enforcement detention.

Certifications and Licenses

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
• Must be a commissioned law enforcement officer in good standing or have held a valid commission within the past three years, with the ability to obtain commission within 90 days of employment.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Mental and Physical Requirements

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, interpret policies, and operate patrol vehicles safely. Must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods, including navigating stairs and long corridors.

Working Conditions

This role involves exposure to various environmental conditions such as heat, cold, noise, and potential contact with infectious materials. Officers may encounter aggressive or abusive individuals and must maintain composure and professionalism at all times.
