As an Armed Public Safety Officer, you will conduct routine surveillance of healthcare properties, perform foot and vehicle patrols, and respond promptly to calls for service across the facility and grounds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a professional and compassionate approach when interacting with individuals, respecting confidentiality and privacy.
• Demonstrate knowledge of HIPAA regulations as they pertain to your duties.
• Complete daily shift logs, incident reports, and other documentation accurately and timely.
• Communicate effectively with management and staff regarding safety, security, and emergency situations.
• Assist with parking management and coordinate activities during emergencies or crisis situations calmly and professionally.

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from a Law Enforcement Academy is mandatory.

Experience:

• At least 1 year of patrol officer experience or 4 years in law enforcement detention.

Certifications and Licenses:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
• Must be a commissioned law enforcement officer in good standing or have held a valid commission within the last three years, with the ability to obtain commission within 90 days of employment.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Mental and Physical Requirements:

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and interpret safety policies.
• Capable of standing for extended periods and walking or running long distances.
• Safe operation of patrol vehicles.

Working Conditions:

• Exposure to various environmental conditions including heat, cold, noise, chemicals, and infectious materials.
• Interaction with patients, visitors, and staff, including potentially aggressive individuals.
