Position Description:

As a Registered Nurse (RN) on the Medical-Surgical Unit, you will assess, implement, and oversee nursing care plans while ensuring high-quality patient care in accordance with established protocols. You will be responsible for delivering care to a group of patients, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care across shifts, and providing clinical supervision to entry-level nurses. This role offers excellent opportunities for professional development and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, prioritize care needs, and assist with minor procedures as necessary.
• Oversee patient check-in, perform triage duties, and assist with initial insurance documentation.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and family members to provide updates on test results and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with laboratory staff to relay test results and ensure timely follow-up with physicians.
• Supervise and mentor entry-level nurses, fostering their professional development and ensuring quality care standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or a Nursing Diploma.
• Valid Missouri State License or Compact License.
• Current Healthcare Provider CPR (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• One (1) year of nursing experience preferred, but new grads are welcome to apply.
