Join a dedicated healthcare team in a regional medical group serving the heart of the Midwest. This full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) role supports physicians and mid-level providers by delivering patient assessments, treatments, testing, and education within a busy clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to clinic policies ensuring patient safety, including infection control and safe patient handling.
• Administer medications via oral, intramuscular, and subcutaneous routes as prescribed.
• Assist providers during procedures, maintaining sterile fields and managing instruments.
• Support examinations within the scope of licensure and perform phone triage.
• Serve as a liaison between patients and providers, communicating test results and answering patient inquiries.
• Document patient complaints and visit details accurately according to provider preferences.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and obtain vital signs, height, and weight.
• Manage and update patient medication lists and summaries.
• Perform point-of-care lab testing and collect specimens as ordered.
• Educate patients on electronic health record tools and provide supportive teaching.
• Schedule diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including obtaining necessary authorizations.
• Train new LPNs and medical assistants in clinic protocols.
• Demonstrate accountability, adaptability, teamwork, and maintain punctuality and attendance standards.

Education

Graduate of an accredited LPN program with completion of an approved IV therapy course.

Experience

Previous nursing or healthcare experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Certifications and Licenses

Current LPN license valid in the state of practice and American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required.

Mental and Physical Requirements

Requires significant mental focus, ability to lift up to 35 pounds, and perform activities involving standing, walking, turning, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, crouching, twisting, and reaching.

Working Conditions

Frequent exposure to infectious diseases and occasional encounters with hostile individuals. Minimal physical discomfort expected.
