Education

Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program is required.

Experience

• At least one year of experience in a Joint Commission accredited hospital setting.
• Minimum one year in an acute rehabilitation facility or equivalent, focusing on adult patient care.
• Preferred: Six months of home care experience.

Requirements

• Current Physical Therapist Assistant license valid in the state of Missouri.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Valid driver’s license and automobile liability insurance.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to educate patients and caregivers effectively.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist patients with transfers and mobility, including lifting weights ranging from 10 to over 200 pounds.
• Comfortable working in environments with potential exposure to communicable diseases and biohazardous materials.
