Join a dynamic healthcare team in the Midwest region as a Student Nurse Intern in the Emergency Department. Under the guidance of a licensed nurse, you will engage in hands-on patient care, supporting individuals through various stages of treatment and recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct care tailored to patients' age and developmental needs, assisting with daily hygiene such as bathing, grooming, and oral care.
• Support physical activities including repositioning, ambulation, range of motion exercises, and safe transfer techniques.
• Assist with nutritional needs by preparing patients for meals, monitoring intake, and ensuring dietary restrictions are followed.
• Collect specimens, perform vital signs, and document intake and output accurately.
• Perform specialized nursing interventions like wound care, dressing changes, catheter insertion/removal, oxygen therapy monitoring, and nasopharyngeal suctioning under supervision.
• Participate actively in performance improvement initiatives and foster teamwork.
• Communicate closely with primary nurses to ensure continuity of care and promptly report any changes in patient condition.
• Document all patient care activities thoroughly and accurately in medical records.

Education

Currently enrolled in a nursing program or completed nursing education but not yet licensed.
