Join a dedicated healthcare facility serving a broad regional community in the Midwest as an Apprentice Plumber. This role involves performing both preventive and corrective maintenance on various plumbing systems, supporting installation projects, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide timely updates and follow-ups to departments requesting plumbing services.
• Perform general plumbing repairs and installations, maintaining accurate documentation.
• Prioritize and manage routine and ongoing maintenance projects to meet facility needs and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor and document progress, costs, and safety issues related to plumbing maintenance and projects.
• Plan plumbing tasks including estimating supply and labor costs.
• Communicate effectively with users and management regarding repair needs and financial implications.
• Adhere strictly to all safety standards and maintain clean, organized work and storage areas.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with all regulatory codes.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Technical or vocational training in plumbing is essential.

Experience

Minimum of two years of commercial plumbing experience is required.

Certifications

Medical Gas Certification and Backflow Certification are preferred but not mandatory.

Mental and Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, sit, and lift up to 75 lbs. Good eyesight and steady hand required. Must be able to perform under stress and comply with fit-testing requirements for N-95 mask usage unless medically exempt.
