Join a dedicated healthcare team in the heart of the Midwest region, providing essential diagnostic ultrasound services. As an Echo/Vascular Sonographer, you will perform cardiac and vascular sonography procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the diagnostic process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adhere to established safety protocols including infection control, contrast agent administration, and critical findings communication to maintain a secure patient environment.
• Conduct clinical assessments and diagnostic sonography exams using advanced cognitive sonographic skills to adapt procedures based on anatomical and pathological findings.
• Analyze sonograms, integrate sonographic data with medical history, and effectively communicate results to physicians.
• Maintain ultrasound equipment and workspaces, ensuring cleanliness and timely reporting of malfunctions or supply needs.
• Contribute to laboratory accreditation efforts by keeping quality assurance documentation current.
• Exercise independent judgment to distinguish between normal and abnormal sonographic findings.

Education: Graduation from an accredited Cardiac/Vascular Sonographer program is required. Candidates must be eligible to sit for the RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) and/or RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) or an equivalent cardiovascular credential.

Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in adult cardiac or vascular sonography is necessary.

Certifications and Licenses: Must hold or obtain RDCS and/or RVT certification through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers within 18 months of hire. Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association is also required.

Physical and Mental Requirements: This role involves frequent standing, walking, lifting up to 150 pounds, as well as pushing, stooping, crouching, twisting, and reaching. Prolonged mental concentration is essential.
