The MRI Technologist is skilled in performing all routine MRI procedures essential for diagnosing various medical conditions. This role requires a registered ARRT certification or graduation from an Associate in Applied Science program in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). CPR certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory and must be maintained throughout employment.

Applicants not yet registered with ARRT in MRI must provide proof of application to sit for the MRI registry. Registration with ARRT is required within one year of hire; failure to obtain this certification will result in termination.

Experience

One to two years of experience is preferred. The candidate must demonstrate excellent oral communication skills, manual dexterity, and visual acuity. Physical ability to assume awkward positions, respond promptly to emergencies, stand and walk for extended periods, as well as bend and lift, is essential.

Patient Care

Knowledge of growth and development stages is necessary to provide age-appropriate care. The technologist will interact effectively with patients across all age groups, including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Requirements

• ARRT certification in MRI (or documentation of application if not yet registered)

• Ability to handle potential exposure to blood or infectious materials
