This full-time night shift role involves planning and delivering professional nursing care tailored to the unique needs of neonatal patients, ensuring safety and comfort throughout their critical care journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess neonatal patients to identify care requirements and develop appropriate care plans.
• Organize, implement, and evaluate patient care activities effectively.
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients and families.
• Serve as charge nurse when assigned, overseeing unit operations and staff coordination.
• Document patient care accurately and comprehensively.
• Administer medications as prescribed by physicians.
• Recognize and respond promptly to life-threatening situations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Participate actively in cost containment and accurate patient service billing.
• Adapt care approaches based on age-specific physiological and psychosocial needs.
• Support patients' cultural and spiritual practices within medical guidelines.

Education

An Associate Degree in Nursing is required, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.

Experience

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in a Compact state or the applicable regional licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Effective organizational and leadership abilities.
• Understanding of age-specific developmental, physiological, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of neonatal patients.
• Physical ability to perform duties including standing, walking, bending, and lifting, with appropriate precautions for exposure to infectious materials.
