Overview: Join a dedicated team supporting the developmental and care needs of young children in a nurturing childcare center located in the Southeastern United States region. This role assists the lead teacher in maintaining a high-quality program that fosters growth and learning in a safe, clean environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the lead teacher by implementing curriculum and methodologies tailored to individual and group needs.
• Engage in curriculum planning and prepare materials for daily learning activities.
• Follow established center routines and procedures independently, including diaper changing and emergency protocols.
• Serve as a positive role model and interact warmly with children.
• Participate in parent involvement initiatives such as newsletters, conferences, and meetings.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy learning environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education and Formal Training:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Early Childhood Development coursework (minimum of 6 additional credit hours) from an accredited institution.
• Out-of-state coursework must be reviewed by the appropriate state division of childhood development.
• Certification in Heartsaver First Aid, CPR, and AED from the American Heart Association is required.

Experience:

• At least 2 years of responsible classroom experience in a professional childcare or elementary school setting.

Skills and Abilities:

• Understanding of physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development of children from birth to five years.
• Effective reading, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to observe and respond to children's needs in the classroom.

Physical Requirements: This position involves walking, standing, and lifting children and various objects as part of daily activities.
