Overview: Join a dedicated healthcare team in a busy outpatient orthopedic and sports medicine clinic serving the Southeastern United States region. This role supports both administrative and clinical needs of physicians and licensed medical staff, ensuring smooth patient care and clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with obtaining patient vital signs and updating medical records accurately.
• Collect and process point-of-care, lab, and pathology samples while performing quality and safety checks on testing equipment.
• Administer treatments, dressing changes, medications, and therapies under provider supervision.
• Support providers during procedures and examinations, including chaperoning and setup.
• Maintain patient confidentiality, dignity, and well-being at all times.
• Handle reusable instruments and biohazard waste following OSHA and infection prevention standards.
• Perform front desk duties such as greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and assisting with coding and billing tasks.
• Coordinate with external healthcare partners to support patient care plans.
• Respond promptly to electronic communications and complete required documentation prior to provider visits.
• Float to other clinics as needed and assist with inventory management.

Education and Certifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program with successful completion of a nationally recognized certification exam such as CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required.

Experience:

• At least one year of outpatient clinical experience preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Ability to recognize and respond to emergency situations appropriately.
• Manual dexterity and physical ability to perform clinical tasks and move throughout the clinic.
