Overview: Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Medical Assistant, supporting both administrative and clinical needs of physicians and licensed medical staff. This role involves assisting with patient vital signs, updating charts, compiling data, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain patient confidentiality, dignity, and well-being at all times.
• Accurately document patient care and interactions during visits and calls.
• Collect and process point-of-care, lab, and pathology samples following established protocols.
• Perform quality and safety checks on testing equipment and supplies.
• Provide patient education under provider guidance.
• Administer treatments, dressing changes, medications, and therapies as ordered by licensed providers.
• Assist providers during procedures and examinations.
• Prepare and handle reusable instruments for sterilization.
• Dispose of biohazard and pharmaceutical waste according to OSHA guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and safe patient care environment by following infection prevention standards.
• Manage supply inventory in designated areas.
• Perform front desk duties including greeting patients and scheduling appointments.
• Assist with coding and billing input for insurance and quality assurance.
• Coordinate with external healthcare partners to support patient care plans.
• Monitor and respond to electronic communications in a timely manner.
• Conduct components of well visits or physicals as directed.
• Complete required documentation prior to provider visits.
• Perform high-level disinfection procedures as needed.
• Flexibly float to other clinics as assigned.

Education, Training, and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program with successful completion of a nationally recognized certification exam such as CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent.
• Preferred: Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in an outpatient setting.

• Ability to recognize and respond to life-threatening situations and activate emergency services.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, staff, and providers both in person and via phone.
• Physical ability to perform clinical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
