Overview: Join a dedicated healthcare team supporting both administrative and clinical needs of physicians and licensed medical staff in a busy outpatient orthopedic and sports medicine clinic located in the Southeastern United States. This full-time, day-shift role offers a $7,500 sign-on bonus and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with obtaining patient vital signs and updating medical records accurately.
• Collect and process point-of-care, lab, and pathology samples following established protocols.
• Perform quality and safety checks on waived testing equipment and supplies.
• Provide patient education under provider guidance.
• Administer treatments, dressing changes, medications, and therapies as ordered by licensed providers.
• Support providers during procedures and examinations, including chaperoning and setup.
• Handle and prepare reusable instruments for sterilization and dispose of biohazardous waste according to OSHA standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe patient care environment by adhering to infection prevention standards.
• Manage front desk duties such as greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and assisting with coding and billing processes.
• Coordinate with external healthcare partners to support patient care plans.
• Monitor electronic health record communications and respond promptly.
• Perform components of well visits and scheduled nursing visits as directed.
• Float to other clinics as needed.

Education and Certifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program with successful certification from recognized organizations such as CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Experience:

• Preferred: Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in an outpatient setting.

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to recognize and respond to life-threatening situations and activate emergency services.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, staff, and providers both in person and via phone.
• Physical capability to perform clinical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
• Comfort with potential exposure to blood and other infectious materials.
