Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute audit plans to verify adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Schedule and conduct audits, selecting appropriate procedures and focusing on critical areas.
• Collaborate with management to identify potential issues and document transaction flows and internal controls.
• Evaluate audit procedures and recommend improvements as needed.
• Analyze data to form objective opinions on departmental controls and effectiveness.
• Prepare detailed audit reports and maintain comprehensive documentation.
• Follow up on audit recommendations to ensure implementation.
• Support independent audits as required.

Education

Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field is required. Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, CFE, or CHC are preferred.

Experience

Minimum of three years in public accounting, internal audit, or compliance within a healthcare setting.

Requirements

• Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with management and preparing reports.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments and contribute to audit planning.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis of clinical and financial data.
• Technical aptitude to audit compliance with financial and operational policies.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office and EPIC.
• Capacity to work independently and meet deadlines without compromising accuracy.
• Knowledge of medical billing and coding is a plus.

Physical Demands
