Job Description

• Perform thorough patient evaluations including physical examinations and comprehensive reviews of medical histories prior to surgical intervention
• Assist in identifying and diagnosing surgical conditions by interpreting laboratory findings and diagnostic imaging
• Partner with attending surgeons to design and carry out individualized treatment and surgical care plans
• Provide active intraoperative assistance, including room preparation, patient positioning, instrument handling, and procedural support
• Manage pre- and post-operative patient care including medication management, wound assessment, discharge coordination, and patient and family education

Education

• Master's degree from a fully accredited Physician Assistant program
• Clinical training with a concentration in surgical rotations is strongly preferred

Certifications

• Active and unrestricted PA-C certification through NCCPA
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Valid state licensure or demonstrated eligibility to obtain licensure as a Physician Assistant

Skills

• Solid foundational knowledge of surgical techniques, sterile field maintenance, and intraoperative protocol
