This role involves delivering fundamental patient care, closely monitoring and reporting any changes in patient conditions, and maintaining a well-stocked and clean patient unit. You will also perform various supportive duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide basic care to patients recovering from brain injuries.
• Observe and communicate any abnormal changes in patient status.
• Maintain cleanliness and supply levels in the patient care area.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong guest relations and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to read and understand English.
• Flexibility in work tasks and scheduling.
• Willingness to learn new skills and techniques.
• Basic understanding of age-specific patient care considerations.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Physical ability to turn, lift patients, and endure standing, walking, and bending.
• Visual and auditory acuity necessary for patient observation.
• Exposure to blood and body fluids with adherence to safety protocols.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Certified Nursing Assistant credential registered with the appropriate state registry.

Experience

Previous experience in a rehabilitation or brain injury care setting is preferred but not mandatory. A positive attitude and willingness to work variable shifts are essential.
