Job Details

Join a dedicated healthcare team as an Administrative Patient Representative, where you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth patient flow within outpatient clinics. Your responsibilities will include accurate and timely submission of invoices to the billing and collection departments, maintaining medical records, scheduling patient visits efficiently, and entering ICD-10 and CPT-4 codes for proper documentation and billing. Additionally, you will transcribe non-medical dictation and submit reports promptly to support clinical operations.

Education and Experience

A minimum of 1-2 years of clerical experience is preferred, especially within a medical business office or a role involving significant public contact. Familiarity with medical terminology and proficiency in typing 45-55 words per minute with accuracy are important. Experience with CRT systems and knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding for Part B billables is advantageous.

Requirements

Strong interpersonal skills are essential, including tact and the ability to assist patients under stress. Good planning and organizational abilities are necessary to manage multiple tasks effectively. Candidates must have the ability to see and read printed data and CRT screens, possess manual dexterity, and have adequate visual and auditory acuity to collect information accurately. Verbal communication skills are critical for interacting with the public. Physical requirements include the ability to lift, stoop, bend, kneel, and reach as needed.
