Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Southern Atlantic region, providing compassionate and professional nursing care in a post anesthesia care setting. This role involves planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in accordance with established policies, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for recovery.

Education

An Associate Degree in Nursing is required, with a Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in a Compact state or the Southern Atlantic region is necessary.

Experience

Previous experience in ICU or PACU is preferred. New graduate nurses will not be considered for this position.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Effective organizational and leadership abilities.
• Knowledge of age-specific physiological, psychosocial, developmental, and spiritual patient needs.
• Physical stamina for standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
• Ability to recognize and respond to life-threatening situations promptly.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.

Additional responsibilities include administering medications as ordered, maintaining accurate patient records, functioning as charge nurse when assigned, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality care. The role also supports patients’ cultural and spiritual beliefs within medical guidelines and participates in cost containment efforts.
