Education and Formal Training

Candidates must have graduated from an accredited radiologic sciences program. ARRT (Radiography) registration or eligibility is required. Maintaining a current AHA BLS certification is mandatory.

Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience is preferred, new graduates who are ARRT registered or registry eligible are encouraged to apply. Registry-eligible new graduates must obtain ARRT Radiography certification within twelve months of hire.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential. The technologist must demonstrate excellent patient care, understanding developmental needs across all age groups, and effectively interact with patients of varying ages.

Physical Requirements

This position involves prolonged standing, bending, and manual dexterity. The ability to assume awkward positions, respond swiftly to emergencies, and lift up to 100 lbs or carry objects up to 50 lbs is necessary. Exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials may occur.

Licenses and Certifications

ARRT certification in Radiography is required. Current AHA BLS certification must be maintained.
