Education and Certification

Applicants must hold licensure from the appropriate state board for Speech-Language Pathologists and maintain current CPR certification. Clinical Fellowship Year candidates with relevant practicum experience are encouraged to apply.

Experience

One to two years of experience in communication and swallowing disorders is preferred, though new graduates with strong clinical training will be considered.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members both orally and in writing.
• Near visual acuity sufficient for working with charts and records.
• Adequate hearing to listen and assess speech.
• Completion of Functional Independence Measure (FIM) credentialing within 45 days of hire and maintenance of proficiency.
• Participation in safety, evacuation, restraint, and seclusion training as required.
