Overview: Join a compassionate healthcare team supporting OB/GYN physicians by managing both clinical and administrative tasks. This role involves assisting with patient care, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards in a busy outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support physicians and licensed medical staff by obtaining patient vital signs and updating charts.
• Collect and process lab and pathology samples following established protocols.
• Perform quality and safety checks on testing equipment and supplies.
• Provide patient education under provider guidance.
• Administer treatments, dressing changes, medications, and therapies as directed.
• Assist providers during procedures and examinations.
• Prepare and handle reusable instruments for sterilization.
• Dispose of biohazard and pharmaceutical waste according to OSHA guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and safe patient care environment following infection prevention standards.
• Manage front desk duties including greeting patients and scheduling appointments.
• Assist with coding and billing processes, coordinating with insurance and healthcare partners.
• Monitor electronic communications and respond promptly.
• Perform components of well visits and scheduled nursing visits as directed.
• Complete all required documentation prior to provider visits.
• Perform high-level disinfection procedures and float to other clinics as needed.

Education and Certifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program with national certification (e.g., CMA, RMA, CCMA).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Experience:

• Preferred: Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in an outpatient setting.

• Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, staff, and providers.
• Physical ability to perform clinical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
