The Administrator I will oversee a residency training program within the Graduate Medical Education Department, ensuring compliance with accrediting body standards related to medical education. This role involves managing and directing interns, residents, fellows, and medical students in collaboration with the Associate Director of Medical Education. The Administrator I plays a vital role in recruiting residents and medical students to uphold the highest quality of training aligned with the institution's mission of exceptional patient care.
Key responsibilities include maintaining confidential records, tracking program accomplishments, and providing administrative support for continuing medical education programs. This includes preparing, submitting, gathering, tracking, negotiating, and preparing syllabi. Additional support will be provided to program directors, faculty, interns, residents, and medical students as needed.
Education
An associate degree is required, though a high school diploma with 3+ years of graduate medical education experience may be considered.
Experience
Progressive responsibility in a health-related environment is essential. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel/Access, and PowerPoint, are required.
Requirements
- Knowledge of continuing medical education and event planning is preferred.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- Strong organizational skills to plan and prioritize departmental activities.
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse professional and nonprofessional individuals.
Physical Requirements
Visual acuity for data review and analysis, mobility throughout the medical center, and effective speaking and hearing abilities to communicate with staff and groups.
