We are seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate pharmacist to join our team on a per diem, variable schedule basis. This role requires a strong foundation in clinical and operational pharmacy practices to effectively assess, treat, and care for patients across various age groups, following established models of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review physician medication orders to identify potential issues such as dosage errors, drug interactions, and incompatibilities.
• Accurately enter medication orders into computer systems and dispense medications accordingly.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and assist in training and orienting new staff members.

Education:

Graduation from an accredited school of pharmacy is required.

Experience and Skills:

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to foster effective collaboration with peers and patients.
• Comprehensive knowledge of pharmacology, including drug actions and interactions.
• Familiarity with pharmacy laws and regulations at both state and national levels.
• Ability to read and interpret physician orders and medication labels accurately.
• Manual dexterity for computer use, prescription compounding, and IV admixture preparation.

Licenses and Certifications:

Must hold a valid pharmacist license as required by the state board of pharmacy.
