Overview: Join a dedicated healthcare team providing essential patient care in a long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) stepdown unit. This role involves assisting with basic patient needs, ensuring safety, and supporting nursing staff to deliver compassionate care in a regional healthcare setting within the Southeastern United States.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with patient admissions, including orientation to the unit, routines, and equipment.
• Respond promptly to patient needs, providing direct assistance or communicating with appropriate personnel.
• Support the nursing care plan by performing delegated patient care tasks.
• Maintain patient safety by ensuring proper use of equipment and supplies.
• Manage and stock patient care supplies, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
• Participate actively in cost containment and accurate patient service charging.
• Engage in educational and performance improvement activities.
• Perform waived testing and maintain required nursing assistant skills as per unit competency.
• Demonstrate commitment to customer satisfaction, patient flow, and hospital capacity goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Certifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
• Current registration with the appropriate state nursing assistant registry.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Experience and Skills:

• No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to read and write English effectively.
• Flexibility in work tasks and schedules.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Understanding of age-specific patient care considerations.

Physical Requirements:
