Overview: Join a dedicated team supporting the developmental and care needs of young children in a nurturing childcare environment. This role assists the lead teacher in maintaining a high-quality program focused on early childhood growth and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support curriculum implementation developed by the lead teacher for individual and group activities.
• Collaborate with the lead teacher to plan daily learning experiences and gather necessary materials.
• Follow established center procedures such as diaper changing, emergency protocols, and daily schedules independently.
• Engage positively with children, serving as a constructive role model.
• Participate in parent involvement initiatives including newsletters, conferences, and meetings.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy learning environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education and Training:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Early Childhood Development coursework (minimum 6 additional hours) from an accredited institution.
• Out-of-state coursework must be reviewed by the appropriate state division.
• Certification in Heartsaver First Aid, CPR, and AED from the American Heart Association is required.

Experience:

• At least 2 years of responsible classroom experience in a professional childcare or elementary school setting.

Skills and Abilities:

• Understanding of physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development of children from birth to five years.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to observe and respond to children's needs in the classroom.

Physical Requirements: This position involves walking, standing, and lifting children and various objects throughout the workday.
