We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to provide therapy services aimed at enhancing patients' functional independence. This role involves comprehensive assessment, treatment planning, implementation, and thorough documentation to support patient progress.

Education and Certification

Applicants must hold current licensure as an Occupational Therapist and maintain certification as required by the regional occupational therapy board. FIM credentialing is mandatory within the first 45 days of employment, with a minimum proficiency score of 80%. Candidates will have three attempts to pass the credentialing exam.

Experience and Skills

Proficiency in selecting age-appropriate functional goals and treatment techniques across pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations is essential. Strong interpersonal skills that foster cooperative relationships with patients and colleagues are highly valued. Effective communication in English, both written and verbal, is required.

Requirements

• Completion of evacuation training and training in restraint, seclusion, and safety devices.
• CPR certification obtained during orientation and maintained throughout employment.
• Ability to communicate effectively, visually assess patient status, and utilize proper body mechanics.
• Physical capability to transfer and transport patients of varying body weights, and to frequently stand, bend, stoop, lift, turn, twist, sit, and walk.
• Competence in the use and manipulation of therapy equipment.
