This role involves assisting with patient vital signs, updating medical charts, compiling statistical data, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.

Education, Training, and Experience: Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and have graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program. Successful completion of a nationally recognized certification exam is required, such as CMA (American Association of Medical Assistants), RMA (American Medical Technologists), CCMA (National Healthcareer Association), or equivalent credentials. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Within the first month of employment, successful completion of medication administration exams, waived testing competencies, AED certification, and phlebotomy training is expected. The position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with patients of all ages, from newborns to geriatrics.

Physical Requirements: The role involves standing, walking, bending, and lifting, with the ability to use clinical and office equipment. Candidates must be able to see, hear, and read effectively and may have contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials.
