Overview: Join a dynamic team as an Advanced Interventional Radiology Technologist specializing in invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures. This role involves operating and ensuring the quality of imaging equipment, patient monitoring, and film processing within a specialized radiology department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform all procedures within the Special Procedures radiology section with full competency, providing care to adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
• Operate technical equipment efficiently and maintain quality assurance standards.
• Serve as a communication bridge between nursing staff, unit secretaries, and physicians regarding orders, scheduling, and procedure status.
• Assess patients, review charts, lab results, and prior imaging; ensure safety data sheets are complete and communicate findings to the interventionalist.
• Prepare patients for procedures, answer questions within scope, and direct other inquiries appropriately.
• Maintain a safe environment by adhering to radiation safety, contrast administration protocols, and infection control guidelines.
• Document patient care accurately and manage billing procedures through computerized systems.
• Engage in continuous professional development, staying current with methodologies, equipment, and techniques.
• Foster exceptional patient and visitor relations using communication frameworks such as AIDET.
• Participate in clinical education for student technologists and contribute to quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
• Support teamwork and effective communication within the department to enhance patient satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Education and Certifications:

• ARRT (R) certification is required.
• Cardiovascular Interventional (CV) or Vascular Interventional (VI) registry required; VI registry eligible candidates have two years to obtain certification.
• American Heart Association CPR Certification provided through internal training.
• Required Licenses: RT(R)(CI)(VI) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
