Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Southeast regional United States as an Ambulatory Transporter, where your role is vital in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of patients, wheelchairs, stretchers, and traction equipment between nursing units and ancillary departments. You will be responsible for the proper use and maintenance of transport equipment, adhering strictly to safety protocols to support excellent patient care.

Education and Certifications

• Must hold current CPR certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Completion of Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) training and knowledge of Restraints, Seclusion, and Safety devices is required.

Experience

• At least one year of experience in patient transportation services, preferably within a hospital setting.

Requirements and Skills

• Ability to operate and regulate flow meters on E-Cylinders.
• Competence in discharging/transferring patients and maneuvering wheelchairs and stretchers, including post-mortem transport.
• Capability to perform some heavy lifting and assume awkward positions as needed.
• Exemplary customer service skills with strong problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.
• Flexibility and quick assessment skills to respond appropriately in various situations.
• Experience caring for a diverse patient population including pediatric, adolescent, adult, bariatric, and geriatric patients.
• Physical ability to move throughout assigned areas, stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
• Essential speech, visual, and auditory acuity for effective communication.
• Willingness to comply with mandatory competencies within a 90-day probationary period.
