We are seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct nursing care for patients recovering from brain injuries within a rehabilitation setting. This full-time, mid-shift role involves working closely under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to ensure patients receive personalized and attentive care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in patient assessments and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Deliver nursing care aligned with patient-specific needs and age-related considerations.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient care records.
• Administer medications as prescribed by physicians.
• Promote a safe and supportive environment for patients.
• Recognize and respond promptly to life-threatening situations.
• Engage in ongoing performance improvement and quality monitoring activities.
• Foster positive relationships with healthcare staff and support patients' cultural and spiritual practices within medical guidelines.
• Contribute to cost containment efforts and ensure accurate billing for services rendered.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in a Compact state or North Carolina.
• No prior work experience required; training provided.

Skills and Abilities

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Understanding of physiological and psychosocial needs across different age groups.
• Physical stamina for prolonged standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
• Ability to safely handle exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials.

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure.
