Education

Must hold current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT/L) from the appropriate state board.

Experience and Requirements

• Professional competency as a general practitioner of occupational therapy, with the ability to tailor functional goals and treatment techniques for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Strong interpersonal skills to foster cooperative relationships with patients and colleagues.
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
• FIM Credentialing must be obtained within the first 45 days of employment and maintained throughout tenure, requiring a minimum proficiency score of 80% with up to three attempts allowed.
• Completion of Evacuation Training and training in Restraint, Seclusion, and Safety Devices is mandatory for all clinical staff working in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Physical ability to communicate effectively, assess patient status visually and auditorily, and perform necessary physical tasks such as standing, bending, lifting, and transferring patients safely using proper body mechanics.
• Competence in the use and manipulation of therapeutic equipment.
