Join a dynamic healthcare team as an Ultrasound Intern working evening shifts in a well-established regional medical center serving the Southeastern United States. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Ultrasound Technologist, you will perform ultrasound procedures for which you have demonstrated competency.

Education and Formal Training

Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited Sonography certificate or diploma program. New graduates who are registered or registry eligible are encouraged to apply. Certification in CPR through the American Heart Association is required.

Experience and Skills

Experience caring for patients across all age groups—from neonates to geriatrics—is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate strong technical skills in diagnostic and vascular sonography, along with compassionate patient care and effective verbal and written communication abilities. Knowledge of growth and development stages and the ability to tailor care accordingly is essential.

Physical and Other Requirements

The role requires dexterity, visual acuity, and mobility to assume various positions, respond to emergencies, and stand for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and carry objects up to 50 lbs is necessary. The position may involve contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials.
