Join a dynamic outpatient clinic team in the Southeastern United States, where you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth patient flow and efficient office operations. This position involves accurate scheduling, patient registration, and timely submission of billing and medical records. You will be responsible for entering ICD-10 and CPT-4 codes, transcribing non-medical dictation, and assisting with various administrative tasks to support clinical staff.
Education
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Business-related coursework is preferred.
Experience
One to two years of clerical experience is necessary, with a preference for medical office or significant public contact experience.
Requirements
- Familiarity with medical terminology and basic PC skills are preferred.
- Typing speed of 45-55 words per minute with accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle patients with tact and professionalism.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding for Part B billables is advantageous.
- Physical ability to see printed data, use manual dexterity, and communicate effectively.
Additional duties include managing supply inventory, assisting with non-invasive procedures, and serving as a receptionist to greet and direct patients. This role requires a warm, patient-centered approach and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
