The Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist is skilled in performing a full range of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures essential for diagnosing various medical conditions. This role requires a compassionate approach to patient care, adapting techniques to meet the developmental needs of patients across all age groups.

Education and Formal Training

Candidates must have completed an accredited radiologic sciences program and hold ARRT (Radiography) certification or be registry eligible. Maintaining current AHA BLS certification is required.

Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience is preferred, new graduates who are ARRT registered or registry eligible are encouraged to apply. Registry-eligible new graduates must obtain ARRT registration within twelve months of hire.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential. The technologist must demonstrate excellent patient care abilities and a thorough understanding of growth and development to effectively treat patients of all ages.

Physical Requirements

This position involves prolonged standing, bending, and manual dexterity. The ability to assume awkward positions and respond quickly in emergency situations is necessary. Candidates must be capable of lifting up to 100 lbs and carrying objects up to 50 lbs. Exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials may occur.

Licenses and Certifications

ARRT certification in Radiography is required.
