Summary

As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will perform fundamental patient care duties, observe and report any changes in patient conditions, and maintain a clean and well-stocked patient environment. Your role supports nursing staff by assisting with patient admissions, implementing care plans, and ensuring patient safety through proper equipment use.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with patient admissions, including orientation to unit routines and equipment.
• Respond promptly to patient needs, providing direct assistance or notifying appropriate personnel.
• Support nursing care plans by carrying out delegated tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness and stock supplies in the patient care area.
• Participate in cost containment and accurate patient service charging.
• Engage in educational and performance improvement activities.
• Perform additional skills such as phlebotomy, 12-lead EKG, and waived lab testing as qualified.

Education and Certifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant credential required.
• Current registration as Nursing Assistant II with the state nursing board and Nursing Assistant I with the Division of Facility Services.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant I is preferred.
