Summary: Provide direct nursing care to assigned patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in a specialized chest pain unit. This role involves working night shifts and delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

Major Responsibilities:

• Participate in patient assessments and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and follow individualized care plans.
• Adjust care based on age-specific physiological needs as directed by supervising nurses or authorized personnel.
• Maintain accurate and relevant patient care records and administer medications as ordered by physicians.
• Ensure a safe environment, recognize life-threatening situations, and respond appropriately.
• Maintain required competencies and engage in performance improvement activities to monitor and enhance quality of care.
• Establish collaborative relationships with healthcare staff and support patients' cultural and spiritual practices within medical guidelines.
• Contribute to cost containment efforts and accurate patient service charging.
• Demonstrate responsibility for customer satisfaction, patient throughput, and hospital capacity compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or equivalent compact state licensure is mandatory.

Experience: Minimum of one year of LPN experience preferred.

Skills and Abilities: Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Knowledge of age-specific physiological and psychosocial patient needs. Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods. Ability to communicate effectively and observe patient conditions accurately.

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required.
