Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Southeastern United States region as a Cardiac Sonographer. This full-time day position involves performing comprehensive cardiac sonography and diagnostic procedures in accordance with departmental protocols. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate patient documentation and departmental records.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct cardiac sonography, electrocardiography, and treadmill stress tests following established guidelines.
• Perform diagnostic procedures and assess patient cardiac conditions to provide appropriate recommendations.
• Operate and maintain monitoring equipment and manage scheduling and paperwork for the department.
• Charge for services using the BCX system and assist with other duties as assigned.

Education and Formal Training

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BCLS certification by the American Heart Association.
• Credentialed by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in Cardiac Sonography.

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year experience in cardiac sonography.
• Additional cardiac diagnostic experience is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong understanding of medical terminology and cardiopulmonary modalities.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations while interacting with patients, coworkers, and visitors.
• Familiarity with psychosocial, physiological, and spiritual needs across all age groups to provide compassionate care.

Physical and Mental Requirements

• Moderate physical exertion, including lifting up to 50 lbs, approximately 30% of the time.
• Work environment with adequate lighting and ventilation.
• Requires concentration and attention to detail for more than 65% of the time.
