Overview: Lead and coordinate the daily operations of a medical-surgical unit, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient service delivery. This role involves managing fiscal resources, human capital, and quality improvement initiatives to foster a supportive and effective clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and oversee clinical operations to deliver exceptional patient care.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures that support service excellence.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to build positive professional relationships.
• Facilitate team meetings, daily rounds, and communication among patients, families, and care providers.
• Coordinate patient care services with other departments and community resources.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as JCAHO and OSHA.
• Maintain adequate staffing levels and ensure staff competency with equipment and procedures.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and quality control efforts.
• Provide orientation, ongoing training, and continuing education for staff members.
• Manage departmental budgets and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with care coordination teams to optimize patient throughput and discharge processes.

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required or actively pursuing.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years clinical nursing experience and at least 1 year in a management or leadership role.

Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse licensure.

• Knowledge of budgeting, staffing, performance improvement, and regulatory compliance.
