Overview: Join a dedicated healthcare team providing compassionate and professional nursing care in a cardiac progressive care setting. This full-time night shift role involves planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in accordance with established policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess patients to identify care needs and organize appropriate interventions.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff.
• Serve as charge nurse when assigned, overseeing unit operations.
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly.
• Administer medications as prescribed by physicians.
• Recognize and respond promptly to life-threatening situations.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Monitor quality of care using outcome-based indicators.
• Participate in cost containment and accurate patient service charging.
• Adapt care to meet age-specific physiological, psychosocial, and cultural needs.
• Support patients' cultural and spiritual practices within medical guidelines.

Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.

Experience: No prior experience required; new graduates welcome.

Licenses and Certifications: Current Registered Nurse licensure in a Compact state or the applicable regional licensure; BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Skills and Abilities: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written; effective organizational and leadership capabilities; knowledge of age-specific patient needs including physiological, psychosocial, developmental, and spiritual aspects.

Physical Requirements: Ability to communicate clearly; visual acuity for patient observation; frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting; potential exposure to blood or infectious materials.
