Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Southeastern United States as an Ambulatory Patient Transporter. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving patients, wheelchairs, stretchers, and traction equipment between nursing units and ancillary departments. Proper use and maintenance of transport equipment is essential to ensure patient safety and operational readiness.

Education: Must hold current BLS certification from the American Heart Association. Completion of Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) training and knowledge of restraints, seclusion, and safety devices are required.

Experience: At least one year of experience in patient transportation services is preferred, ideally within a hospital setting. Familiarity with handling various patient populations including pediatric, adolescent, adult, bariatric, and geriatric patients is important.

Requirements: Ability to operate and regulate flow meters on E-Cylinders, maneuver wheelchairs and stretchers safely, including post-mortem transport. Must be capable of moderate to heavy lifting and able to assume awkward positions as needed. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to provide exemplary customer service. Physical stamina to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods is necessary. Good speech, visual, and auditory acuity are required for effective communication. Completion of mandatory competencies within a 90-day probationary period is expected.
